What to Expect at the Oct. 19 Third Sunday Forum: Open Doors in Action
Curious how our Open Doors Capital Campaign will make a real difference right now? Join the conversation this Sunday.
About the forum
On Sunday, Oct. 19, 2025, Christ UMC will host a Third Sunday Forum: Living Into Open Doors. Leaders from our capital campaign will share how planned projects aim to improve accessibility, strengthen sustainability and deepen community connections in our downtown neighborhood.
Why it matters
Open Doors is about practical changes that help people participate fully in church life and help our building serve the city throughout the week. You’ll hear how the plan builds on CUMC’s long history of welcoming neighbors and supporting ministries that meet everyday needs.
Conversation topics
- Accessibility priorities and how they improve the Sunday and weekday experience
- Sustainability steps that reduce costs and care for creation
- How the facility supports ministries such as Saturday Noon Meals, music, care groups and community partners
- Ways to get involved—prayer, volunteering and financial support
