Be restored on Sundays at Christ UMC.
Sunday is a special time for families at Christ UMC. Whether you volunteer or worship from the pew, we offer a variety of ways to be restored each Sunday.
Sunday Offerings for Families
Sunday School Classes (all classes leave worship following the children’s message and return to worship following the sermon.)

Acolytes and Readers serve in worship by bringing in the light of Christ, reading scripture and bringing the light of Christ back into the world. Contact Pastor Jenny (pastorjenny@cumethodist.com) for more information.

Children’s Vocal Choirs meet on Wednesday evenings. Jessie and Karla help develop a love of music and a desire to sing and celebrate our faith. The choir sings about 5 times a year in worship. As this ministry is changing days and times, we are paying attention to the time on Sunday mornings, and how the groups are divided by age, to best serve our Sunday morning worshipping families.
Preschool: This class meets during the 9:00 am worship service. Our preschool room introduces children to other youngsters in the church in a welcoming and safe environment. The lessons for this class focus on core stories of the Bible on a 2-year cycle. Children are welcome to start coming to Sunday School when they are ready. Some have parents stay with them; others wave goodbye and run off with their friends. Each child is different, and all are welcome.
K-3: This class meets during the 9:00 am worship service for our Kindergarten-3rd graders. Kids in this class are building on the themes of the season and the scriptures shared in worship.
4th and up: This class meets during the 9:00 am worship service, especially for our 4th and 5th graders. This year, the group will focus on stories of the Kingdom of God, beginning with the fall of the Kingdom of Israel, the hope of the prophets for a new king, the birth of Jesus, and how we build God’s Kingdom here.
One Room: This class meets during the 11:00 am worship service. This is an all-ages class for preschool and up. Kids in this class are building on the themes of the season and the scriptures shared in worship. We also have children and youth who choose to stay in worship with their families during this worship service.
CU Wednesdays: Midweek Groups for Children
CU Wednesdays brings children, youth, and adults together for food, fellowship, music, and small groups.
Kids With Purpose (PreK–5th): An engaging hour (6:00–7:00 p.m.) where kids connect faith with everyday life through games, art, and community. Families are welcome to come for the full hour or to arrive late/leave early as needed.
Groups For Older Kids & Youth (6th–12th): Middle school and high school students have their own groups from 6:00–7:00 p.m. on CU Wednesdays (Club 6–7, Confirmation, and Connect). Learn more on our Youth Ministry page or the CU Wednesday page.

Volunteer Opportunities
All of our volunteers working with children, youth, families and other vulnerable individuals must go through Safe Sanctuary training before working with these populations.
Churches run on volunteers and youth are an important part of that. Youth can be tech volunteers, ushers, greeters, Sunday school teachers, and more. Check out our Volunteer page for a list of opportunities. Our youth programs take the combined efforts of church staff, parents and volunteers and we would love your help. If you’re interested in
