What in the world is a hootenanny, you ask? Picture this: a jubilant gathering of friends, neighbors, and newcomers, filled with toe-tapping tunes, laughter bouncing off the walls, and plenty of good ol’ fashioned fun. Historically, “hootenanny” has been a word for a rollicking folk-music party — but here at Christ United Methodist Church, we’re putting our own spin on it with games, hot dogs, dancing, and yes… a good, old-fashioned cake walk (because nothing says joy like winning dessert with a little rhythm in your step).

Join the Fun!
So dust off your dancing shoes, grab your appetite for hot dogs (and maybe cake), and join us for a night of laughter, music, and community. Whether you’ve been coming to CUMC for decades or this is your very first time, there’s a place for you at our Hootenanny.
Because in the end, a hootenanny isn’t just an event — it’s a reminder that joy is sweeter when shared.
