When you lose someone you love, we want you to know that you are not alone. Our pastors and staff are here to walk with you — before, during, and after a death — with care, prayer, and practical support.
When death is imminent
If a loved one is nearing the end of life and you’d like a pastor present, please don’t hesitate to call. We will make every effort to have someone come to you at the hospital, a care facility, or at home.
Call the church office at 507-289-4019. After hours, leave a message for the pastor on call and a member of our pastoral staff will return your call as soon as possible.
Planning a service
We are honored to provide funeral and memorial services at Christ UMC, at a funeral home, or graveside depending on what best serves your family. Our pastors will work closely with you to plan a service that honors your loved one’s life and holds your grief within the hope of the Christian faith.

It’s never too early to think through the kind of service you’d want. If you’d like to talk with a pastor about pre-planning your own service, we welcome that conversation. It’s a meaningful gift to the people who will one day carry that responsibility.
